Favorite Friday: Philly
First, before I move into my Favorite Friday post I wanted to take a minute and thank all the veterans and their families out there. We are so grateful for your service and your sacrifice. God bless you all!
My family and I spent the other day up in Philadelphia. We love Philly and make several trips up there every year. Most often just to get a cheesesteak at Pat's.
Pat's is the original cheesesteak.
We also visited a new coffee shop Shot Tower Coffee. This is a new favorite.
Talk about artistry.
And last but hardly least, we went to see a favorite author speak.
Christopher Paolini is the author of the Inheritance series. My family has been anxiously awaiting the last installment of the series for three long years. Christopher gave a talk at the Free Library of Philadelphia and then opened the floor for questions. It was a lot of fun and my girls were thrilled to get their books autographed by him. As a fellow author, I greatly appreciated his kind and unassuming manner. You could tell that he truly appreciated his fans and enjoyed sharing with them. It was a very enjoyable trip.
If you're ever in Philly here are some more of our favorite places to visit:
They are having a baby boom which includes: two snow leopards , a jaguar (which we got to see--he was so adorable), and a kangaroo (you can help pick the name).
Here's a great link that will help you plan a visit: Independence Visitor Center.
Blessings,
Dani
