Monday Cuppa--Holiday, winners, and coffee oh my!
Happy Monday and Happy Labor Day, friends!
I can't believe it's September. Where did summer go? For a die-hard summer girl the dip in temperatures, even if it's for a few days, is a sad sign of the encroaching change of seasons. Fortunately, we have one last beach hoorah, and the temperatures actually look decent for our time there. So I'll writing next week's posts from sunny North Carolina. Before I go I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a wonderful holiday weekend.
Any fun plans for today?
We'll be going for hike, but the rest of the time I'll be crunching on edits which are due Tuesday. Yikes! Not the best way to spend a holiday weekend, but (and most writers will get this) there's something so special about reading back through your book once it reaches this stage--of actually resembling a real book.
I also wanted to take a moment to announce the last week's winners. The Monday Cuppa winner of the Godiva Truffle coffee (that is amazing) is Susan P. Congratulations, Susan.
The winner of Karen Witemeyer's Stealing the Preacher (one of my personal favorites, but it's Karen...how can you pick just one?) is Debbie Nissen Congratulations, Debbie.
All I need are mailing address, which you can send to me via FB message or via email at dani@danipettrey.com
I hope winning makes your holiday even a little better.
For the rest of you, never fear. I'll be giving away a phenomenal bag of coffee from a small bakery we love visiting in North Carolina on next week's Monday Cuppa--North Carolina Style, and my dear friend and wonderful romance author, Becky Wade, will be guest posting on Writerly Wednesday this Wednesday, and giving away a copy of To Have and To Hold, so be sure to drop by.
In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your holiday.
Blessings,
