Favorite Friday: FC Barcelona

We are huge soccer fanatics. I played as a kid and both of my girls played. While my oldest daughter was in high school one of her teammates introduced us to International Soccer (Futbol to the rest of the world) and we've been hooked ever since. Every weekend and many weekday evenings we sit down as a family to watch a soccer game. We follow the English Premier League, La Liga (The Spanish League), and the UEFA Champions League (European Championship League). But we only have one favorite team and that is FCBarcelona. We love them so much that we traveled all the way to Barcelona to visit their stadium, Camp Nou. Okay, we were there for a European Cruise, but we chose Barcelona as our departure city so we could tour Camp Nou. It is a wonderful stadium and a wonderful city (which we also toured). If you ever get the chance to visit, you should.

Why did I choose today to share this? Because tomorrow is El Clasico. It is when FCB faces off against their rivals Real Madrid. Other than the UEFA Champions League Final, it is the most followed club football match in the world. It is such an exciting and nerve-wracking game. If you're not busy tomorrow and you get Gol TV, I highly recommend watching El Clasico!
